| About the scripts These are my first attempts at writing scripts in CorelDRAW, they were written to answer questions posted in the Corel newsgroups. They are not great examples of how to program in CorelDRAW, if you want to learn more, please visit Alex Vakulenko's Oberon site where you will find an amazing resource to use, learn from. The scripts are free to use, modify, build on. If you reuse large portions of the code, all I ask is you try to keep the credits and web references intact. My favourite third party applications for CorelDRAW are - 1. Nick Wilkinson's Isocalc which is a terrific program for assisting in creation of my illustrations (also at his site you will find a variety of free to use Cool Tools, I have a customized toolbar dedicated to these useful programs.) 2. Alex Vakulenko's CurveWorks which is an incredibly useful set of macros for manipulating curves. Both these utilities are massive time savers and well worth checking out. The following examples were created in CorelDRAW 11 with the aid of the above mentioned applications. SVG - Example Illustration Flash - Example Illustration About the author Employed as a technical author and illustrator for the last seven years, I have over 10 years experience with Corel graphics/publishing products. Prior to this I was an embedded systems hardware / software tester for 11 years, prior to that I worked in technical support for a company selling home computers and prior to that I worked in the research laboratories at Kodak (Wealdstone, England) as a technician in the fields of atomic abosrption/emmision spectrophotometry (not as impressive as it reads, but I did get to use machines the size of a small room and work with really hazardous chemicals.) I've been hanging around in the Corel graphics newsgroups for the past six years, actively posting answers (sometimes twice) for around five and a half years, thoroughly enjoying my time there. For the curious about what I do in my spare time I was taking a holiday in Florida a few years ago, when this person accosted me and asked for a photograph, said he was my biggest fan. ;-) Peter "Two Posts" Clifton |
